“Jesus Knows Me This I Love”
FOCUS
“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so, little ones to Him belong, they are weak but He is strong. Yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, yes Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so.” Many of us may be hearing the melody to those words in our head & heart even now :-) … it’s a great hymn celebrating truth!
Perhaps this is the first time you’ve ever heard it restated according to the title of this morning’s message. It’s meant to jolt us with the cognitive dissonance it creates. What a great way to make a point connected to a truth that reframes reality forever!
He knows me? He loves me? Yes you & yes you.
Knowing Jesus Knows & Loves Me …
1. tells me there’s nothing of which to be afraid.
Like the Samaritan woman at Jacob’s well, Jesus knows everything about us too.
Psalm 139:13-18 / John 4:39b
2. compels me to make Him known to those
who don’t yet know He knows them too.
As we continue to grow in our understanding of what it means to be
known by God, we continue to grow in our desire make Him known.
John 1:43-50 / John 4:39a
Making It Real
1] Does knowing Jesus knows you bring a fresh fearlessness to you today?
2] Like the Samaritan woman & Philip, are you freely telling others about Him?
Action Step
